Colored Thin Layers Based On Synthetic Bitumen
Colored Slurry Seal / Microsurficing is applied in cases when special route signaling or use is needed, such as in bus lanes, parking pavements, cycling roads, pedestrian crossings, motorways exits, etc. As it proved through our recent research with collaboration with Athens University, colored Slurry Seal – microsurficing can contribute substantially to the reduction of the heat island effect in city, since it absorbs up to ten times less the solar radiation than the conventional asphalt layers (reducing therefore the temperature considerably).
