AKTIS S.A is an innovative construction company, active over the last 20years in the development and application of new technologies in the field of road construction and maintenance, in Greece and Balkans (Bulgaria & Romania). The people working at AKTIS share the common ambition to contribute to safer and more comfortable roads using modern, environmentally friendly methods. With this objective in mind, AKTIS offers integrated solutions to the construction community, applying the most advanced technologies in the area.
Our staff consists of highly specialized and well-experienced engineers, engaged in research and in continuous follow-up of technological advances worldwide in the fields of pavements' construction, maintenance and of several specific applications. Our commitment in innovative solutions has resulted in the gradual development of a unique knowledge base in Greece applied on field by well-trained, specialized technicians and the use of privately owned equipment.
The main activities of our company cover the following fields/applications:
- Maintenance & Improvement of Road Pavement
- Traffic Management & Intelligent Traffic Solutions (ITS)
- Routine Maintenance Management System (RMMS) using Digital Video
- Ground Radar Applications for non-destructive determination of the various layers' thickness of the pavement or rail base (Continuous diagrams for the layers' depth, moisture content, asphalt layers' thickness, road base and sub-base thickness)
Our company is systematically investing in research and technological development and in quality assurance systems. In the research field we have develop long-standing co-operations with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the CERTH (Center for Research & Technology, Hellas), and the National University of Athens.
